Speedriver Pressure Washing is a one-person business run by Johnathon McIntosh in Guelph, Ontario. This page explains what personal information the website collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
What gets collected
Only what you choose to send. If you fill in the quote form, that is:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you give one
- What you want cleaned
- Your street or neighbourhood, if you give one
- Anything you write in the message box
When the form is submitted, the technical details of that submission are also recorded: the date and time, and the network address the request came from. That is kept to stop the form being abused by automated spam.
If you phone, text or email instead, no information passes through this website at all. It goes straight to Johnathon's phone or inbox.
What it is used for
To give you a quote and to do the work. That is the whole purpose. Your details are not sold, rented, or handed to advertisers, and you will not be added to a marketing list.
Who sees it
Johnathon McIntosh, who is the person quoting and doing the job. This website was built and is run for him by Bidmii, a Guelph-area company, so Bidmii also receives a copy of quote requests in order to keep the website working and to support the business. Nobody else is given your information.
Where it is kept
Quote requests are stored on Google Cloud servers used by Bidmii, and sent on by email. They are kept only as long as they are useful for quoting, doing the work and keeping normal business records.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and does not track you around the internet. There is no analytics software on it.
Two things are loaded from Google in order for the site to work: the hosting itself, and the two typefaces the site is set in. Loading a font means your browser makes a request to Google, which is normal for most of the web, but it is worth saying plainly.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Email johnathonmcintosh1616@gmail.com and it will be dealt with. There is no charge and no form to fill in.
Children
This is a service for property owners and occupants. The website is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
